Book Series I Need to Catch Up With

While I was updating my Amazon wish list, I realised that there are quite a lot of series I have started but have not caught up with yet (I.e haven't read up to the latest book released) and I thought it would be quite a fun post to do, so this will be a list of the series that I need to catch up with - it does not include series in which I have read all the books released so far, but only ones where there are published books in the series I have yet to read (though doesn't include books from series I'm not continuing with).

Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
So far I have read A Study in Scarlet, the Sign of Four and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes which means that I have read 2 of the books and one collection of 12 short stories and I still have 2 books and 4 collections of short stories to read. I really enjoy reading these books, they are full of interesting, adventurous mysteries that are quite short so they are quick to read and I am looking forward to reading more of them soon.

The Infernal Devices (trilogy) by Cassandra Clare

I have only read the first book, Clockwork Angel, in this brilliant historical fantasy trilogy - I know, I should have read it by now, seeing as I am such a lover of the Mortal Instruments and I desperately need the next two books soon.

His Dark Materials (trilogy) by Phillip Pullman
So far I have read (well actually I listened to the audio books) of the first two books, the Northern Lights (sometimes named the Golden Compass) and the Subtle Knife and I am about an hour and 20 minutes into the audio book of the final book, the Amber SpyglassThis trilogy is on the BBC's 100 books to read list which is why I have been making my way through them over the last couple of weeks. This is a really good adventure/ fantasy middle grade story and I can't wait to see what the conclusion will be.

Anna and the French Kiss (companion trilogy) by Stephanie Perkins
I have only read Anna and the French Kiss, the first book in the companion series. I really enjoyed the cute and fun romance story and I can't wait to continue with the next two.

Miss Peregrines Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
I have yet to read the second book in this series (I am not sure if it's a duology, trilogy or series), Hollow City but I really can't wait - I loved the first one as it was such a unique story line and I really want to know what happens next.

Bridget Jones by Helen Fielding
So far I have only read Bridget Jones' Diary and have yet to read the Edge of Reason and Mad About the Boy which has only very recently been released. I found the first instalment hilarious and can't wait to read more of Bridget's life.

Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman
I have so far read the first book in this dystopian series and I really enjoyed it, however I really liked the ending and felt like it should have been left as a stand-alone so I'm not sure if I will continue is series or not but I feel like I should because of the great ratings.

The Chemical Gardens (trilogy) by Lauren DeStefano
I have read the first book, Wither, in this dystopian trilogy so far and enjoyed the story a lot. I am excited and interested to continue the series and find out what is going to happen.

Comoran Strike by Robert Galbraith (a.k.a J.K Rowling)
This is the detective series that J.K Rowling is writing under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. I have read the first one, The Cuckoos Calling, but have yet to read The Silkworm which is the second book in the series and was released relatively recently. I loved the first book so am looking forward to reading more.

The Grisha (trilogy) by Leigh Bardugo
All the books in this fantasy trilogy have been released now, but it have only read Shadow and Bone, the first book. I really liked this book and I can't wait to find out what happens, I desperately want the next two books.

The Hunger Games (trilogy) by Suzanne Collins
You might be quite surprised, but I've only read the first Hunger Games book. Don't hate me... But I don't really see what all the hype is. For me, it was an okay book - one of the ones you enjoy when reading it but when you look back realise it's faults but anyway that's for a whole other post. However, I feel like I owe it to that to finish the series (even though I pretty much know what happens).

Lux by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I just read the first two in the series, Obsidian (reading the first for The Little Book Club's October read ran by the booktuber Catriona a.k.a The Little Book Owl)  and Onyx, back to back. All the books in this series have now been published, the final instalment only very recently released. I am loving this paranormal romance and can't wait to read more. It has a unique story line, a swoon-worthy love interest (a.k.a my new boyfriend... I wish) and lots of angst and sexual tension that books like need.

Delirium (trilogy) by Lauren Oliver
I have only read the first in the trilogy, Delirium so I still have Pandemonium and Requiem to read. However it was long time ago that I read Delirium and I have forgotten a lot of it so would definitely need to re-read it. I don't remember much of this dystopian romance but I do remember that I enjoyed it a lot so it will be interesting to see how my opinion has changed.

I hope you liked this post and are having a good day - as you can see, I have a lot of series I need to catch-up. What series have you not finished? caught-up with yet?
Love Ellen xxx
